Nick Murray Born  in 1967, Nick has had a keen interest in wild life since he was a youngster. Starting his guiding careeer in Matusadona National Park in 1988, obtaining his Professional Guides Licence in 1991, and Canoe Guides Licence in 1998,  Nick has been in the wildlife game ever since.
He has a BSC in Zoology and Wildlife Management  from the University of Natal in South Africa,  has his Dangerous Drugs Licence for use in the  capture of wild animals and has captured over 2000 animals for translocation.Including the capture and translocation of 60 gemsbok from Namibia to Zimbabwe .Nick also developed a private game reserve 91-94 and has practical wildlife management , cattle ranching , ostrich farming , fencing and building experience.  Since 1997 Nick has spent most of his time canoeing the Zambezi River, and together with his wife Desiree, who is also a Professional Guide and Canoe Guide, run Bushlife Safaris in Mana Pools National Park on the Zambezi River, including Vundu Camp , Little Vundu , Ruwesi Canoe Trails and Traditional Tented Safaris to Chitake .
Nick and Desiree also runs safaris in Matusadona National Park where the focus is on the rare Black Rhino. Nick has an intimate knowledge of Zimbabwe having guided in all the Wildlife Areas and National Parks of Zimbabwe. Both Nick and Desiree have worked in other countries, Tanzania, Namibia, Mozambique, South Africa, Zambia and Botswana.
Desiree now runs the business from Harare and is also looking after their two children Jed , born in 2004 and Tait, born in 2007.
Mark McAdam was born in 1963 and has lived his whole life in Southern Africa.He grew up and completed his schooling in Zimbabwe. Following this he studied Electrical engineering in South Africa where he worked for 10 years.He has always had a great interest in natural history and wild life and in 1988 returned to Zimbabwe to pursue a new career as a safari guide, where Mark obtained his Professional and Canoe Guides Licences.Beginning as a guide running canoeing safaris on the Zambezi River, he has run canoeing safaris, photographic and walking safaris and remained in the wildlife field since he started in 1988. Over this period he has conducted safaris throughout all of Zimbabwe’s national parks as well as safaris into Zambia and Botswana.
While on safari, there has been superb photographic opportunity, which has led to an interest in Photography, which has grown into a passion. Mark and his wife Carol Anne produce the photographs on a commercial basis they concentrate primarily on black and white photography. Printing the pictures in a sepia tone and presenting them on hand made natural fiber papers has added another dimension reminiscent of the turn of the century to the pictures. Mark is also a video cameraman for Osprey productions, who produce wildlife and natural history productions.Mark now lives in Bulawayo  together with his Canadian wife Carol Anne and twin Daughters Eliane and Morgan,  born in 1995 ,   represented Zimbabwe  at the world BMX championships in July 2007 in Canada and continue to extreamly well .
Doug MacDonald was born in Zimbabwe in 1969 and comes from a family that have strong ties to the African Continent .Doug first joined the Safari Industry in 1989 , working in Hwange National Park at the Hwange Safari Lodge while complteting his college degree in Hotel and Catering Management .Once completed he began working on Spurwing Island on Lake Karibe , Matusadona National Park , where he concentrated on completing his Professional Guides Licence which he passed in 1997 . Doug married Angela on the Lake at Spurwing and they now have two sons , Dean and Murray . Doug has travelled and guided through many countries in Africa , including Tanzania , Botswana , Zambia , Namibia and Mozambique . It is this experience and knowledge that Doug brings to your safari experience to make it as interestinbg and exciting as possible as he reveals all he can of the wild areas and people of this awe inspiring continent .
